THE PHILIPPINES

A LITTLE ABOUT THE PHILIPPINES

My home country. The Philippines is an archipelago made up of some 7,000 islands in Southeast Asia.

It’s a tropical country and basically has two seasons: rainy and sunny.  I like both.

We’ve got plenty of mountains, lots of beaches, and some natural wonders. Our history is, uhm, interesting which played a part in our diversed and crazy culture. By ‘crazy’ I mean rich (not money rich, though) and colorful (too colorful, maybe).

EXPLORE THE PHILIPPINES

Rizal, my home province, is a mountainous province located about 16 kilometers east of Manila.

When you're here, you may want to

Visit the Pinto Art Museum. Have a roadtrip along the Marilaque Highway. Stay in a mountain resort in Tanay.

Batangas is gifted with lots of beaches, making it a popular summer destination. This province south of Manila is also known for its local delicacies which should be part of your itinerary.

When you're here, you may want to

Enjoy the beaches of San Juan, Batangas. Or, Nasugbu.

Pangasinan is known for many things from its unique dishes, vast rice fields, but is most famous for its pristine beaches found along its coastlines in different towns! It even has its own hundred islands!

When you're here, you may want to

Do a visita iglesia in Manaog and head to the beautiful Sual, Pangasinan. Dansol is yet another beautiful beach area.

A coastal province well-known for its strong waves suitable for surfing. One of La Union’s towns, San Juan, which is dubbed as the “surfing capital of the north”, has plenty of surfing resorts for the adventure seekers.

When you're here, you may want to

Take surfing lessons on the spot in San Juan.

The mountains and hills by the sea of Aurora is one for the books for sure. Facing the Pacific, this yet another coastal Province has big surprises waiting for the first-timer.

When you're here, you may want to

Climb a moutain in Dingal by joining a ‘joiner’ trip from Manila.

Benguet province might sound unheard of even for many Filipinos, because the name “Baguio” comes to mind when you say Mountain Province. The “Summer Capital” of the Philippines has a lot to offer, literally, from foods to museums.

When you're here, you may want to

Stay in an ABNB, visit the Mines View Park. Ride a bike in Camp John Hay.
